Chef de Partie (Spring/Summer)

Seeking five full-time, permanent Chef de Partie’s, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The salary for this position is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week. The start dates for these positions are January, April, May & June.Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for a formal hotel dining room
• Estimate food requirements, prepare and cook meals and specialty foods including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Instruct cooks in preparation, garnishing and presentation of food and in new cooking techniques
• Plan menus, ensure quality of food and portion control and create new recipes
• Requisition food, kitchen supplies and equipment
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff

Ideal Candidate:
• Cook trade certification required from a recognized vocational or technical college
• Three or more years’ experience in commercial cooking
• Fluent in English language (orally and written, and accurate numeracy)
• Working with others and supervising in a team environment
• Must have excellent organizational skills and maintain a calm demeanour

Sales Manager

We are seeking a full-time permanent Sales Manager. The salary for this position is based on experience, 40 hours per week with some travel required.

Duties:
• Attend trade and travel shows to represent the Banff Park Lodge, Bow View Lodge and Homestead Inn.
• Conduct outside sales calls, telephone solicitation and on-site visits to establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
• Target new corporate and meeting business by conducting FAM’S, business presentations, market research, competitive analysis and staying up-to-date on world travel trends and news.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales

Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum 2 years of hotel sales management experience with proven track record, established industry contacts and knowledge of marketplace
• Works well under pressure
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook and Visual One)
• Travel will be required, must have a valid driver’s license, own transportation and willing to work flexible hours

  • Aspiring to become an apprentice
  • Experience in a hotel restaurant cooking is an asset

Bow View Lodge Relief Night Auditor

Seeking one full-time, permanent Relief Night Auditor, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage will be negotiated, based on experience.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Reliable and can commit to at least 12 months
  • Completing End of Day process and completing all reporting function
  • Front desk and reservation duties as scheduled
  • Implement and maintain all company policies and procedures

Seeking a full-time, permanent Room Attendant, required to work day shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 32 hours per week. Start dates are in February, March, May and June.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Sweep, mop and wash floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
