Bow View Lodge Relief Housekeeping Supervisor

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Sweep, mop and wash floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Stock linen closet, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies
  • Provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Training of new staff and ongoing training of existing staff
  • Supporting other staff by taking a hands-on approach to ensure great customer service
  • Additional duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Reservations Agent

We are seeking one full-time, permanent Reservation Agent, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. Wage is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Take, cancel and change room reservations, process telephone calls
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information about services required for guests with special needs
  • Customer service oriented, work with minimal supervision
  • Clerical duties (i.e faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, communication, working with other, problem solving
  • Decision making, critical thinking job task planning and organizing.
  • Provide assistance to the Front Desk Agents as needed.

Ideal candidate:

  • Has 1 to 2 year previous hotel front desk or reservation experience
  • Is a capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail
  • Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone
  • Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests
  • Has experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience with Extranets is an asset
  • Can commit to a 12 months contract

First Cook

We are seeking a full-time permanent First Cook, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime hours. The salary for this position is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring that food is properly stored and handled at all times
• Ensuring that the quality and quantity of food prepared meets hotel standards
• Managing a clean, sanitized work station during and at the end of shift

Homestead Inn Senior Room Attendant / Room Checker

Seeking a full-time, permanent Housekeeping Supervisor, required to work day shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage for this position is based on experience, 30-40 hours per week, bonus, other benefits, staff accommodation, group insurance benefits.

HR/Staff Housing Coordinator Term Position

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role combines the opportunity to showcase your interpersonal and team-building strengths as HR/Staff Housing Coordinator while ensuring the smooth, efficient operation and cleanliness of all staff housing units. .

Summary of Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to guests, colleagues and visitors
• Provide a wide range of human resources services to the company, in support of business objectives and human resource initiatives
• Be the first point of contact for in-person colleague inquiries in the HR Office
• Responsible for fulfilling employee requests
• Regular audits for lockers, system users, etc.
• Ensures employee data is entered/recorded accurately via our HRM System or internal systems, including:
• Provide assistance in all phases of the recruiting process
• Manage a demanding workload and maintain the flexibility to deal with requests, issues, and situations as they arise
• Must be an extremely strong communicator and have a strong knowledge of legislation and progressive HR practices
• Assist the Human Resources Manager with the implementation and facilitation of Orientation and other Colleague training
• Manage staff accommodations, which includes;
o Maintain a record of Colleagues in staff accommodation
o Following up on Colleague requests in a timely manner
o Complete check ins and check outs, maintain cleanliness
o Monthly inspections reporting on all concerns and following up
• Complete exit interviews and complete all termination paperwork as required
• Assist with other Human Resources functions and tasks as required

Qualifications:
• Previous hospitality and/or human resources experience, minimum 1 year required
• Previous Property Management experience an asset
• Degree, diploma or certification in Human Resources Management or related program is an asset
• Must have strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding, fast-paced environment
